To enjoy this service FREE of Charge simply make sure your account details include your mobile number and daytime email address.
On the day of your delivery, you will receive a text or email that tells you when the driver will be delivering your goodies.
When ordering from Big Fish please remember the following key points:
- Deliveries CAN NOT be left for without a signature.
We are often asked to leave items in a porch or behind a wall and its simply not possible to do so.
We can deliver a certain day and our couriers will notify you of your delivery time within an hour, if you leave a mobile number and daytime email when you place your order...just tell us in your comments section and we will try to make sure your parcel arrives when you want it too.
- WE WILL COLLECT THE ITEM IF....
We have made a mistake with the order or the item arrives damaged in transit. If you simply change your mind when the item arrives thats fine, but you will need to return it to us in perfect condition and then we will issue your refund.
- CHECK YOUR DELIVERY STRAIGHT AWAY.
You must notify us of any damages/shortages within 48 hours of your delivery. So please make sure you check your order as soon as you can, that way, on the rare occassions a mistake is made or there has been a problem since the goods left us we can fix it fast.
- ALL DELIVERIES ARE BY COURIER.
Unfortunately during a three month trial Royal Mail failed spectacularly in deliveing a good service to our customers, with loads of items going missing or taking upto 9 days to arrive even 1st class recorded. So now everything is sent via one of the UK's leading couriers. This unfortunately means our minimum shipping price is £3.95 but it ensures your items arrive.

Delivery Addresses
If you have ordered from us before we are happy to send your order to an address other than your home/billing address. Please enter the delivery address in the appropriate fields if you are ordering online or include it with your order if you use another order method. We are sorry but we do not offer this service to first time customers paying by credit or debit card.
Delivery Charges
All deliveries are insured against loss and delivery by recorded delivery or courier.
Mainland UK Delivery
Delivery is Free on all Orders £50 and over. For Orders under £50, the delivery charge is £3.95.
Rest of UK and Overseas Delivery
Delivery rates are available via the shipping estimator via the cart checkout page and during checkout.
Please note that we sell a huge variety of items and there is a limit to the number of different delivery charges our online system can calculate. Some orders (e.g. some going to outside mainland UK) or some items (e.g. boats) cannot be sent for the charge calculated by the system. If the delivery charge differs from that printed on your invoice we will contact you before despatching your order. If the delivery charge for specific items is already known to us (e.g. the haulage charge for boats) the price will be indicated in the product information on the web site.
DELIVERY ADDRESSES IN EC COUNTRIES INCLUDING THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
The price you see is the price you pay, including VAT at 17.5%. A carriage charge applies to all orders for small items regardless of total value. Usually your tackle will be sent by insured air mail which takes around a week but you must allow up to 20 WORKING DAYS for your delivery to arrive.
Larger and heavier items, in particular rods, can be expensive to send. Most rods are too long to go by normal postal services, and must be sent by carrier. If you want to order larger items of tackle, we will contact you with a quote for the charge to send your order. You can then decide whether you want to go ahead or not. All prices are in £ sterling.
Your credit card company will bill you in your own currency. Your credit card company can advise you on the current rate of exchange.
You can pay by VISA, Mastercard or American Express.

Delivery to Outside the EC:
We do ship internationally and will deduct the VAT where applicable. With International prices based on the volumetric size of your package it’s impossible to give clear guidance here, so we will call you to ensure you are happy with the Shipping cost before sending.
Please note that outside the EU (European Union), local Customs Charges may be payable or Import Licenses may be required. Some Countries do not allow the import of various goods e.g. the foodstuffs in bait. We cannot be responsible for these charges and/or regulations and advise you to check thoroughly before ordering.
Dispatch
Our Mailroom operates from 9am on Monday to 4pm on Friday. We aim to dispatch all orders by the end of the day (Monday to Friday) following receipt of the order. Orders received on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday as long as there are no problems. Standard dispatch of orders to UK destinations is by first class post or via our carrier (24 hour service from time of dispatch), depending on the goods ordered. Other services (next day (delivered Monday to Friday only) or Saturday morning delivery) are available on request for orders received before midday (UK time). Orders to non-UK destinations will be sent according to customer requirements.
Delivery Problems
Within the UK you can usually expect delivery of your order between 2 and 7 days from the day we receive it. If you have not received your order after 7 days please call us. We will make enquiries to our carrier to confirm loss of the parcel and will send a duplicate parcel to you as soon as possible. Outside the UK please contact us if you have not received your order after 14 days.
If a Next Day or Saturday Delivery UK order is delivered late we will refund the difference between the rate paid and the standard rate for the order.
Problems with Order Contents
The contents of your order should be checked immediately after delivery. Please telephone us straightaway if there are any problems.We need to know within 48 hours of a problem, its helps us fix them quicker for you.
Return of Goods Policy
No One likes it when a rod goes bang or a reel creaks in a way it just shouldn’t, but it happens, and if it happens to you, we at Big Fish will do everything we can to help.

ANY WARRANTY GOODS MUST BE RETURNED GOODS MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY!
We’re not shy of a bit of mud at Big Fish but several suppliers insists return items are clean and dry so we ask please that should you need to send back a pair of boots etc they don’t have half the bank hanging from the bottom.
We ask you to check the contents of your delivery and notify us of any errors or breakages within 48hrs, this way we can take action swiftly with the courier and get any problems rectified for you quickly.
We are happy to exchange unsuitable or unwanted items as long as they are returned to us in perfect condition, in the original packaging, with the relevant receipt or proof of purchase and within 28 days of delivery. In such circumstances we will not refund either the original postage or your return postage.
If goods are faulty, damaged in transit or have been sent to you in error we will refund the price paid in full and postage as long as the goods are returned in their original packaging, with the receipt and within 28 days of delivery.
If you wish to return goods please notify us beforehand.
We will not accept goods sent to us for refund or exchange that have not been originally purchased from us.
Goods bought online, meeting the above criteria, may be returned in the shop if that is more convenient for you.
Refunds will be made by the same method used to pay for the item (e.g. if you paid by credit card any refund will be made to the same card).
PLEASE NOTE: It is not for us to decide if a product has a manufacturing fault. Return Items which have been used will be sent to suppliers for inspection before being approved for replacement or credit. At this point we are at the hands of the supplier and it can take upto 4 weeks although our commitment to offer you a better service means we nag them a lot and it should generally be quicker.
WARRANTY ITEMS:
Many suppliers issue a year warranty, and should you have a problem Big Fish will be here to help but you will need:
- Your receipt which is sent with your order
- Your Internet order number
- To return the item to us for initial inspection. We will then advise if the warranty is a replacement or repair dependant on the suppliers terms. If Big Fish need to send your item back for repair you wil be charged a warranty return fee of £4.95
Non Refundable Items
Due to the perishable nature of some item, we cannot accept the following items for refund unless they are sent in error or are faulty:

MANUFACTURER WARRANTY CLAIMS
Big Fish Tackle Store offers 28 days as your first point of call if you have any issues with your product under warranty. Thereafter, manufacturer warranties eg Lifetime Rod warranties etc should be taken to the manufacturer directly. We are always happy to assist, so in the event that a Rod goes bang or a reel goes pop call us for advice and we can help out…..and REMEMBER TO KEEP RECEIPTS FOR WARRANTY ITEMS!!
CLOTHING, FOOTWEAR AND LUGGAGE RETURNS
Any Clothing, Footwear or other garments or luggage for return must be returned unsoiled, dry and clean. This is due to the dreaded ‘Health & Safety’ nonsense, which means we in turn cannot send soiled goods back to the Manufacturer or they won’t accept them. If your unsure just give us a call.
Frozen Bait
Please note that we can only send Frozen Bait if you accept full responsibility for the condition of the bait when it is delivered to you.
We are unable to send frozen bait under frozen or even refrigerated conditions. For delivery to the UK, we dispatch it on a next day (from day of dispatch - not necessarily from day of order) service. Delivery to Europe or elsewhere will take at least 2-3 days.
The bait is frozen when it leaves us and we wrap it well to insulate it. However, depending on the transit conditions, and certainly if delivery is delayed, the bait may be defrosted on arrival. We therefore advise you to time your order carefully, so that you will use the bait straightaway.
In many cases, bait is produced frozen to remove the need for preservatives. This means that if the bait is allowed to defrost over a few days, for example, if transit is delayed, it may be in an unusable state by the time it reaches you.
Please note that due to the above factors we are unable to accept responsibility for the condition and usability of frozen bait and therefore, will not reimburse you, if you are unhappy with the condition of the bait on arrival.
If any of the above is not clear, please call us for clarification before placing your order containing frozen bait.
Complaints
We always do our best to respond quickly and fairly to any problem relating to tackle purchased from us or the service provided. In the event of a problem, call us straightaway and we will do whatever is necessary to resolve it as fast as possible. In normal circumstances problems will be responded to within 24 hours, usually the same day we are notified.
